Our Team 

The overall direction of Pendulum Growth is brought by our 3 founders, Paul McDonald, Tom Molyneux and Mark Parfitt.

 They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience with self development, mentoring, coaching and several years of supporting our local communities and workplaces.

Paul McDonald

With over 6 years’ experience in people coaching, leadership and management in the Financial Services sector, Paul has successfully and consistently supported and developed numerous people with their career goals, wellbeing and mindset challenges. In addition to this, 4 years ago Paul started his journey of supporting people directly with their mental health In the workplace by creating safe spaces, projects and communities for colleagues to speak openly about their mental health challenges, this work was heralded and recognised as a seismic shift in support colleagues wellbeing in the workplace.

Alongside this work Paul has been supporting Men’s Mental Health charity Sean’s Place since their inception back in 2020. Paul has supported in many roles such as Mentor, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Facilitator and Advisory Board Member. This support has helped a lot of men in the city of Liverpool get control back of their mental health and thrive moving forward.

Paul’s passion for supporting others comes from his own struggles as a teenager into adulthood with his own mental health, after reaching out and getting the correct support Paul has never looked back and turned this tough part of his life into a force for good.

My current role is a Project Manager which aids the building, facilitating and delivery of all elements of Pendulum Growth activity. I am a qualified Prince 2 and APM Level 4 Project Manager. I have also completed Mental Health first aid, Trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy practitioner and currently I am working towards additional mentoring and coaching qualifications.

Tom Molyneux

With 4 years experience in supporting the Liverpool community, Tom has helped hundreds of individuals with their overall well-being. Using his own experiences, he has been able to share with others the techniques and strategies he has used in order to overcome mental health struggles during the past. Tom has studied counselling at Level 2 and has also delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy since 2020 on a 121 basis, seeing huge success with his mentees. Tom has a huge passion for physical well-being and is in the process of becoming a fully qualified personal trainer. His passion for physical health and pushing himself for others has seen him cover multiple ultra marathon distances for charity in recent years, with plans for more challenges in the future to provide further support for the community.

Mark Parfitt

With over 15 years experience in coaching Mark has succesfully supported numerous people with their mental and wellbeing challenges as well as their personal development and career aspirations. 3 years ago, he stepped into the mental health space supporting the community weekly with workshops and discussions proliferating overall wellbeing and creating a space for personal improvement. 

He has a level two qualification in mentoring as well as degree in design which he employs along with his skills and experience to help build and create the work that Pendulum Growth deliver in the community.
